New Word Order:

What A New Word Order was and is becoming

The New Word Order project came to a pause in September. It was an interesting conversation but stayed in the area of abstraction.

We're reviving this project, but this time with a specific purpose. We will be focusing on an open source hardward platform. This hardware will be modular, it will be a number of different hardware pieces which work well together, and record lots of information. Since the project is still in its infancy, its hard to say exactly where it will go, but this time we have focus: manufacture hardware which records sensory information in an ambient way. Show feedback for this information both on the device(in a small way) and on the web (in a more in-depth way).

If you are interested in being a part of this project, and see some potential, or feel some excitement around the effort, mail me back. I'm planning a meeting for later this week or next to talk/draw further.

If you're into this, don't worry. With the new happenings going on with THE MOVEMENT, there will be many possibilities to get involved in meaningful and interesting projects. Also, if you do have anything to add, references, websites, articles, projects, you can just twitter them to @anewwordorder. You can also follow the progress at http://nwo.themovement.info, or contribute to this wiki.

Summary

This is now a wiki for the development of a new wearable sensor which will use sensory technology, give sensory feedback, and feed into a lifestream and bind together for combined advantage. We'll research inspirational jewelery, existing attempts at electronic jewelery and existing hardware.
